About the position
The PM Caregiver/Medication Technician at Woodruff Care Homes is responsible for providing compassionate care to elderly residents, assisting with medication administration, and supporting daily living activities. This role requires effective communication with residents and staff, ensuring a safe and clean environment while maintaining accurate medical records.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist with self-administration of resident medications according to doctor's orders and the MAR.
- Log medication administration on MAR, including PRN medication.
- Assist caregivers with daily assignments and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the Wellness Coordinator regarding any changes or concerns.
- Complete daily paperwork, including filing and logging medication records.
- Order, receive, and inventory supplies and medications, maintaining cleanliness of the medication cart.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Administration.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR Certification.
- AED Certification.
- Ability to clear DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
- Experience in medication administration preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a caregiver (1 year preferred).
- Experience in assisted living (1 year preferred).
- Experience in medication administration (1 year preferred).
- Experience in psych (1 year preferred).
