About the position

The Overhaul Machine Shop contractor position at CCI Industrial Services involves operating manual and CNC machining equipment, fabricating and modifying rotating equipment components, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role requires extensive experience in machining, CAD programming, and collaboration with various trade groups. The contractor will work on a two-week on, two-week off rotation, focusing on maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality-driven services.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Hilcorp Machinist and fill in vacation coverage when needed.
• Ensure a safe work environment and maintain safety standards.
• Build integrity, honesty, and trust with stakeholders, clients, and employees.
• Establish and maintain rapport and strong working relationships with subordinates, co-workers, and client representatives.
• Provide effective presentation of products and services offered by CCI Industrial Services.
• Ensure successful delivery of the Overhaul Department workforce's day-to-day activities in compliance with safety standards and client specifications.
• Demonstrate professional skills, mechanical capabilities, and knowledge equal to a seasoned Machinist.
• Assist with identification of prospects/client's mechanical needs and strategic approaches to gain new business.
• Lead a culture of injury-free operations and prioritize HSE resources.
• Maintain 100% safety standards and accountability in all areas of mandatory/regulatory requirements.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and team-oriented skills.
• Be innovative and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Manage multiple projects and perform problem analysis and resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 plus years' experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• NSTC Card.
• Extensive experience with the operation of manual machining equipment and CNC machining equipment.
• Ability to fabricate/modify rotating equipment components using machining equipment.
• Skills in CAD programming for designing and fabricating parts.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and procedures.
• Knowledge of static and rotating mechanical equipment.
• Ability to perform material and machine inspections using precision measuring equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience and knowledge of the oil and gas industry is preferred.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
