About the position

PMC is seeking a dedicated Multi-Media Archivist to support the development and management of its extensive archives. This role is crucial in preserving, organizing, and maintaining our video library, while also supporting the archiving of photos, audio, and other media. The ideal candidate will take an active role in establishing archival procedures for our video library within a MAM/DAM platform.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-brand teams to drive the integration of content into the MAM/DAM system, ensuring robust metadata governance for an accessible and comprehensive media library
• Partner with key stakeholders to ensure the technical success of the DAM/MAM platform, with a particular focus on video content management
• Supporting and documenting the development of cross brand video archival procedures
• Research, clip, caption, and deliver historical footage for licensing opportunities
• Manage requests for photos and other archival assets as necessary, ensuring timely delivery
• Assist with the ongoing maintenance of the physical archive

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe software such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc
• Experience with various video and photo formats, including Apple ProRes, H.264, MXF, QuickTime, MP4, JPG, and TIFF
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Knowledge of metadata taxonomies and schemas
• Experience in photo and video postproduction
• Experience working with DAM/MAM platforms
• Familiarity with large video archives
