PML QA Engineer

We are seeking collaborative and confident Quality Assurance (QA) engineers for our Productivity Measurement Lab with extensive manual and Automation testing experience for large scale enterprise applications and AI powered productivity Assets and Assistants. This job will give you an opportunity to work closely with the development teams and IBM product engineering teams building AI powered assets and Assistants. As a QA Engineer you will play a critical role in identifying issues, ensuring high standards of software quality and contributing to the continuous improvement of our tools and processes. The platform and asset offerings will support both SaaS and on-premises assets and tools. Our global development teams for platform and assets are spread across India, the US, and Romania.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Projects, tools and assets
• Perform functional, Integration, regression and performance testing to ensure the software meets the required quality standards
• Conduct thorough testing of the AI powered Assets and Assistants that support quality Assurance and ensure they function as intended both independently and when integrated with other systems
• Evaluate AI powered Assistants' performance Accuracy and reliability within the context of their intended use cases.
• Test the user interfaces, APIs and interactions of the AI powered tools ensuring seamless and effective user experience.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance the efficiency of the testing process
• Utilize testing tools and frameworks to streamline the testing process and improve coverage.
• Proactively identify areas of improvement in the testing process and suggest new approaches, tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all test activities including Test plans, test cases, results and defect logs.
• Communicate effectively with peers and cross-teams to clarify technical details, share ideas.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on software testing.
• Knowledge of AI/ ML concepts and experience in testing AI powered applications or working with Machine learning models is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in writing and executing both manual and automation test cases.
• Strong in Java OOPs concepts and experience in Automation testing using Java and JUnit framework, Selenium, JIRA or similar tools.
• Hands on experience with API Testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured with a strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP services.
• Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, with the ability to tackle complex issues and find effective solutions.
• Work closely with development teams to identify potential weak spots, inefficiencies, and issues within software systems.
• High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling to evaluate the scalability and performance of applications.
• Proficiency with Agile Project Management tools (e.g., GitHub, ZenHub, JIRA), including the ability to utilize these tools for project tracking and management.
• Knowledge of industry-specific challenges and trends, AI, Technology consulting or other related fields.
• ISTQB certification, AI/ML certifications or other relevant credentials.
