About the position

Peraton is seeking a PMO Systems Administrator (SA) to support the Program Management Office for a major engineering contract within the Intelligence Community. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive IT systems support, including implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems, as well as managing IT infrastructure and processes. The position requires a commitment of 1880 hours per year and is based at the contractor location in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
  • Provide day-to-day operations support for IT systems, including desktops, network devices, and mobile devices.
  • Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.
  • Support secure and unclassified systems, addressing hardware problems as needed.
  • Configure and manage Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components.
  • Implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of experience as a Systems Administrator in similar programs and contracts.
  • Five years of additional Systems Administrator experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must meet DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level 1 requirements (Security+ at a minimum).
  • At least one year of experience in modern operating systems and network architectures.
  • At least one year of experience in certification and accreditation, architecture development, design, and risk assessments.
  • Experience patching and upgrading network switches, installing software on desktops, and managing security groups.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience providing engineering solutions for server build outs within Windows environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work.
  • Understanding of configuring multiple VLANs onto switches using Putty software client.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the OSI model related to switch configuration, data flow, and TCP/IP protocols.
  • Familiarity with CISCO switches, configuring SFPs, and troubleshooting fiber runs.
  • Experience using Active Directory as a domain service.
  • Experience imaging desktops/laptops and troubleshooting workstations, network printers, and VoIP phones.
  • Related certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCENT, CCNA, A+.
