About the position
The position is for a Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) staff physiatrist to join a physician-led group of physiatrists based out of an inpatient rehabilitation facility. The role offers flexibility and independence within diverse practices, supported by a stable leadership team. The group provides comprehensive management and administrative support, allowing physicians to focus on practicing medicine. The position includes options for both independent contractor (1099) and employed (W2) pay models, along with access to professional development resources and risk management support.
Responsibilities
- Manage and treat patients in an inpatient rehabilitation facility.
- Provide consultations in hospital settings, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), and long-term acute care (LTAC) facilities.
- Utilize integrated EHR and practice management systems for documentation and data capture.
- Participate in risk management and compliance activities to ensure patient safety and practice integrity.
- Engage in professional development and recruiting efforts to enhance practice capabilities.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Experience in managing conditions such as spasticity, traumatic neurological injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Familiarity with electrodiagnostic medicine (EMG) and cancer rehabilitation.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with intrathecal baclofen pump management and chemodenervation.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient population.
