About the position

This position involves designing hardware as part of silicon development at Apple, focusing on custom mixed-signal integrated circuits for current and future product lines. The role requires collaboration with a diverse team to create complex test systems for advanced power supplies, encompassing a wide range of tasks including simulations, software development, hardware bring-up, debugging, extraction, and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop lab validation systems using circuits such as LDO, Buck, ADC, DAC, Op-AMP, and FPGA.
  • Conduct circuit design, schematic creation, analysis, layout, and review in a PCB environment.
  • Perform signal and power integrity analysis (PDN analysis).
  • Engage in hands-on lab work for hardware bring-up and debugging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve engineering issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with hardware development from specification to bring-up and downstream support.
  • Skilled in component development and selection for schematic design.
  • Ability to design or guide high-quality PCB layouts into fabrication.
  • Prior experience using CAD tools such as Cadence Allegro or Altium for multi-layer board layout.
  • Familiarity with microcontroller, FPGA, and logic design and programming.
  • Proficient in using electronics lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, analyzers, and function generators.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred.
  • Experience with coding or automation in Python is a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills for teamwork and collaboration.
