The PNS Scheduling and Configuration Leader at GE Vernova in Pensacola, Florida, plays a critical role in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the business unit. This position is responsible for owning the S&OP process specifically for the Pensacola site, which involves close collaboration with the HQ S&OP leader to translate a 12 to 24-month outlook into a manufacturable build plan for the facility and a production plan for each production cell. The leader will also oversee configuration management for the team, which includes managing the manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) configuration and release, executing Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and integrating these changes into the current build plan. In this role, the leader will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials with sourcing according to production schedules, plan and schedule material and production needs, and ensure operational alignment with production plans and key performance indicators (KPIs). The position impacts approaches, projects, and programs within the functional area or affected business organization, influencing the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the team. The role requires moderate autonomy and high levels of operational judgment, with significant input into priorities and decision-making processes. The leader will manage master planning, material processes, and systems, preparing and updating production schedules and purchasing needs. This includes direct people management responsibilities, such as staffing and performance development. The role requires in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policies and strategies effectively. The leader will also act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, potentially leading small projects with low risks and resource requirements, and will be responsible for conveying performance expectations and handling sensitive issues.
