About the position
The Santa Cruz Warriors are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Pod Squad Members, responsible for enhancing the in-game entertainment experience at Kaiser Permanente Arena. This part-time role is pivotal in creating a vibrant atmosphere during home games and community events. As a Pod Squad Member, you will engage with fans, lead crowd interactions, and facilitate live promotions, ensuring that every attendee has a memorable experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting fans, distributing prizes, and performing various entertainment acts that resonate with the audience. This position is an excellent opportunity for those looking to immerse themselves in the sports and entertainment industry while contributing to a positive fan experience. In this role, you will be expected to perform at Santa Cruz Warriors home games and community events, where your creativity and energy will shine. You will be tasked with handing out premium items, interacting with fans, and providing essential information about the arena and events. Additionally, you will have the chance to create innovative forms of on-court entertainment, including skits, dances, stunts, and improvisational acts that engage the crowd. Setting up, operating, and breaking down all interactive elements of fan engagement will also be part of your duties, along with maintaining the organization and condition of game props. Representing the organization professionally and appropriately at all times is crucial, as is the ability to adapt to other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform at SCW home games and community events
- Hand out premium items, interact with fans and communicate general arena and event information
- Create new forms of on-court entertainment, including skits, dances, stunts, fan interaction and improvisation
- Set up, operate and break down all interactive elements of fan engagement
- Keep all game props organized, in good condition and stored appropriately after each game
- Represent the organization in a professional and appropriate manner at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Gymnastics and/or dance experience preferred
- An outstanding level of creativity, energy, and spontaneity
- Ability to excite, motivate, and entertain a crowd; excellent sense of humor
- Excellent and engaging interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- High energy, strong detail orientation and superior work ethic
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced work environment
Benefits
