About the position
The Podcast Editor will be responsible for listening to approximately 150 podcast episodes, each ranging from 60 to 90 minutes, and selecting sound bites to be used for various purposes. This role is intended as a side project, with the expectation of editing a couple of episodes per week, gradually working through the entire catalog of episodes. The podcasts cover topics such as Hollywood, filmmaking, politics, conspiracies, and social commentary.
Responsibilities
- Listen to each podcast episode and identify key sound bites.
- Edit and cut selected sound bites for various uses.
- Manage the editing process for a couple of episodes per week.
- Collaborate with the podcast creator to understand the desired highlights.
Requirements
- Experience in audio editing and podcast production.
- Ability to select engaging and relevant sound bites from longer episodes.
- Familiarity with topics related to Hollywood, filmmaking, politics, and social commentary.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience with podcast editing or production.
- Knowledge of audio editing software and tools.
