About the position

The Podcast Videographer will be responsible for filming, editing, and producing high-quality video content for podcasts. This role requires prior podcast experience to ensure a smooth video production process in both in-studio and on-location settings, with a strong focus on maintaining audio-visual quality and an engaging presentation.

Responsibilities

• Film and edit podcast episodes, capturing both video and audio with high production quality.
• Set up video, lighting, and audio equipment before each recording session to ensure optimal quality.
• Work closely with podcast hosts and guests to create visually engaging content that complements the podcast's tone and theme.
• Edit videos to create dynamic and visually appealing content, adding graphics, captions, and B-roll as needed.
• Ensure consistent audio and video quality for all recorded episodes, troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
• Manage video production timelines and deadlines to ensure episodes are delivered on schedule.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to produce short video clips for promotional use on social media.
• Stay up-to-date with podcasting and videography trends to bring fresh ideas to the table.

Requirements

• Must have proven experience in podcast videography in a media production setting.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of lighting, camera operation, and audio recording for podcasts.
• Experience with multi-camera setups and syncing audio and video.
• Familiarity with video platforms and social media channels (e.g., YouTube, Instagram) and best practices for visual storytelling.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot on the fly, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with hosts, guests, and production team members.
