The Point of Care Testing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of point-of-care testing conducted by non-laboratory staff. This role ensures regulatory compliance within clinical laboratories and supports quality programs to maintain safe and effective laboratory testing practices.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of point-of-care testing protocols.
  • Evaluate and coordinate all aspects of point-of-care testing performed by non-laboratory staff.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in clinical laboratories.
  • Maintain and monitor quality programs for laboratory testing.
  • Support the achievement of effective quality programs to guarantee safe and efficacious laboratory testing.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
