About the position

The Point of Sale Scrum Master at Deckers Brands is a pivotal role that embodies the principles of servant leadership, focusing on supporting teams to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness. This position is designed for an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, leveraging data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement. The Scrum Master will facilitate discussions, decision-making processes, and conflict resolution, ensuring that the teams are well-equipped to deliver value. This role requires a strong partnership with the Product Owner, Product Teams, key stakeholders, and Guilds to ensure that the objectives are met and that the teams are aligned with the overall business goals. In this role, the Scrum Master will guide teams in adopting standard Scrum and Agile practices, fostering a self-organizing culture. Responsibilities include scheduling and leading inspect and adapt meetings, shielding teams from external distractions, and maintaining a positive team culture. The Scrum Master will also be responsible for documenting development team processes and standardizing these processes across global Retail Technology teams. Additionally, the Scrum Master will provide Agile KPI status reports to both the teams and management, ensuring transparency and accountability. The role also involves facilitating the Teams Release Cycle, which includes maintaining clear communication across global teams regarding release status and ensuring that product teams adhere to necessary procedures for bug fixes and hotfixes. The Scrum Master will consult with various functional groups to address product issues and functional specifications, actively listening to feedback from the development team to support their needs effectively. This position is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and a passion for continuous improvement, as well as a commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure teams have completed necessary procedures regarding the release cycle
  • Assist in ensuring product teams follow P1/P2 bug fixes or hotfix procedures
  • Consult with members of various functional groups concerning product issues and functional specifications
  • Extract and listen to feedback from the development team
  • Be knowledgeable on project directives and priorities in order to support the team needs

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Comfortable in facilitation techniques
  • Driven to continuous improvement and focused on increasing transparency
  • Skill and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, and continual improvement
