About the position
The Police Officer position at Atrium Health involves providing safety and security services within the healthcare environment. Responsibilities
- Perform patrolling and surveillance to ensure safety and security.
- Escort individuals as needed to maintain safety.
- Conduct investigations and interventions to address security concerns.
- Protect the safety and security of patients, visitors, teammates, staff, and property.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Minimum of four years of employment as a police officer is required.
- Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred.
- Completion of training from Atrium Health, including Non-Violent Crisis Intervention/De-escalation and defensive tactics, within 90 days of hire.
- Effective communication skills in both oral and written form are necessary.
- GPSTC (24.0 Hours) certification is required.
- CPI/Restraint Training and P.O.S.T. certification number are required.
