About the position

The City of Bethel, AK is seeking dedicated individuals to join our police department as Police Officers, both recruits and lateral transfers. Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned areas to maintain public safety and enforce laws.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
  • Must pass a background check, drug screening, and physical fitness test.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in law enforcement or related fields.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of community policing principles.
