About the position

The Patrol Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the peace, safety, and well-being of the community through law enforcement, education, and interaction with residents. This full-time position involves responding to emergency calls, taking reports, solving problems, and engaging in community outreach activities.

Responsibilities

• Promote peace and safety in the community.
• Deliver police services and respond to 911 calls.
• Take reports and document incidents.
• Solve problems and provide assistance to the public.
• Participate in community outreach and events.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Associates Degree or higher preferred.
• Valid Colorado Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a thorough background and credit check, pre-employment medical exam, drug test, polygraph, and psychological examination.
• Current POST certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
