About the position

The Police Social Work Case Manager position at Arrive Together focuses on collaborating with law enforcement to identify community residents in need of mental health, substance use, or social services. The role aims to reduce police contacts through social work interventions, providing essential support and resources to individuals in the community.

Responsibilities

• Report to assigned Ocean County Police Departments throughout the week
• Accept referrals from participating municipal law enforcement agencies and triage needs
• Provide needs assessment, linkage and brief case management to referrals
• Participate and assist in data collection and statistical analysis
• Work as part of a team
• Conduct community outreaches independently and as part of a team
• Maintain information/data spreadsheets
• Coordinate and consult with law enforcement officers and law enforcement command staff
• Complete documentation as required and communicate with other program staff
• Participate in law enforcement meetings and education
• Co-response in community alongside officer

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field
• Experience working with Substance Abuse
• Proficient with computer programs including Excel, Power Point, Word
• Experience and understanding of Law Enforcement
