About the position
The Policy Development Engineer will be a key member of the Cloud Workload Lifecycle Security Team, focusing on supporting digital transformation initiatives within the technology industry. This role involves leveraging expertise in cloud security and policy development to create and modify policies that ensure the security of cloud resources.
Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise in writing RQL queries to implement new policies for cloud resource misconfiguration and configuration drift.
- Transform Information Security requirements into Prisma Cloud Enterprise policies, including new policy creation and modifications.
- Perform engineering-level positive and negative testing of developed Prisma Cloud RQL policy code.
- Collaborate effectively with a virtual team across various locations.
- Support engineering tasks and RQL policy development specific to Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud Enterprise.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Information/Cybersecurity experience.
- 1+ year of deep Prisma Cloud Enterprise experience or experience with a similar Cloud Security Posture Management tool.
- Proven experience creating Prisma Cloud Enterprise custom policies via RQL or policy development for a similar tool.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud security services, workloads, and hardening practices.
- Experience with Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
