About the position
The Policy Director is responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on various policy issues, drafting and reviewing policy documents, and collaborating with government agencies. This role also involves providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring effective communication and dissemination of policy-related information.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on policy issues.
- Draft and review policy documents.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other government agencies.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Design, oversee, and execute health services literature reviews.
- Prepare memos, reports, manuscripts, and conference presentations.
- Summarize policy-relevant information and engage stakeholders for research translation.
- Monitor ongoing VA HSR research activities for CIDER publications.
- Synthesize and summarize research and evaluation projects relevant to VA policy.
- Maintain client communication and management.
- Provide expert policy dissemination services and project management for special information dissemination projects.
- Format and proof-read dissemination materials and communicate among partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required with 8+ years of experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
