About the position

Long Grove Country School is expanding its offerings and is seeking dedicated educators for its Polish Preschool and Kindergarten programs. With a growing demand for our Polish program, we are excited to announce openings for the 2024-2025 school year, starting in August. We are looking for both full-time and part-time teachers, with the possibility of splitting shifts into morning or afternoon sessions. Morning teachers will work with 3-year-olds, while afternoon teachers will focus on 4-year-olds and Kindergarten students. Our innovative Outdoor Education Programs have been a significant success, allowing children to engage with nature and learn through hands-on experiences. We have developed an integrated curriculum that aligns with core Illinois learning standards, utilizing farm and nature topics to enhance learning. Our approach emphasizes outdoor activities, enabling children to explore their environment safely and interact with their peers. We are eager to welcome new team members who are passionate about early childhood education and are interested in contributing to our vibrant learning community. This position is ideal for teachers looking to advance into leadership roles or those who wish to bring their own preschool-aged children to work. Current openings include positions for Polish Preschool and Pre-K Teachers, as well as Polish-speaking aides for Kindergarten classes.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Polish language and culture to preschool and kindergarten students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with Illinois learning standards.
  • Create a safe and engaging outdoor learning environment for children.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance the curriculum and educational programs.

Requirements

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children, specifically 3-year-olds for morning shifts and 4-year-olds for afternoon shifts.
  • Preferred qualifications include an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Child Development Associate Certification is preferred.
