About the position

As a Polysomnographer specializing in Neurology, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact while enjoying competitive pay packages and comprehensive benefits. This is a 13-week travel assignment in Fredericksburg, VA, where you will work 36 hours a week, specifically on day shifts with a schedule of 3 X 12 hours. Your role will involve conducting sleep studies, monitoring patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members.
- Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members.
- Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes.
- Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
- Monitors and evaluates patients before, during, and post procedure depending on unit.
- Shares on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required.
- Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
- Transports patients as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One to three years experience as a Polysomnographer preferred.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to conduct sleep studies and familiarity with PAP therapy.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- PC skills.
