About the position
The Polysomnographic Technician-Trainee position is a part-time role focused on providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Under the supervision of a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or medical director, the trainee will engage in both in-center and home sleep apnea testing, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, ensuring quality patient care and education.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under supervision.
- Conduct in-center and home sleep apnea testing.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as directed.
- Provide comprehensive patient care and education.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 6 months of direct patient care experience or one year of post-secondary education.
- Enrollment in an accredited polysomnographic educational program leading to an associate degree.
