About the position

The Polysomnography Therapist is responsible for performing specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to sleep disorders. This role involves conducting various sleep studies, including diagnostic polysomnography and CPAP titrations, while providing individualized care to patients and collaborating with healthcare professionals. The therapist must work independently and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the sleep lab.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic polysomnography and therapeutic procedures related to sleep disorders.
  • Conduct Split Night testing, CPAP, Bi-Level, Auto-Servo Ventilation (ASV), and Oxygen titrations.
  • Monitor End Tidal CO2 levels during procedures.
  • Provide individualized customer service to patients, families, physicians, and staff.
  • Assist with Quality Improvement initiatives in the sleep lab.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of patient care/medical experience.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) Credential from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) upon hire or within 2 years.
