About the position
The Pool Equipment Repair Technician role at Major Services involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing swimming pool and hot tub equipment. The technician will work directly with customers to ensure their pool equipment is functioning properly, providing essential repairs and maintenance services.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on swimming pool and hot tub equipment.
- Conduct repairs on control systems, pumps, motors, heaters, valve actuators, filters, lights, plumbing, and sanitation equipment.
- Prepare quotes and proposals for customers outlining necessary repairs and costs.
- Collaborate with customers, pool cleaning technicians, and office staff to provide updates on equipment status and repair progress.
- Maintain an inventory of commonly needed parts on the service truck.
- Complete work orders accurately for billing and record-keeping purposes.
- Drive a company vehicle to customer locations.
Requirements
- Residential appliance installers license is a plus (assistance provided for licensing).
- Valid driver's license required.
- Safe driving history.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Good attitude and willingness to learn.
