About the position

The Pool IT Project and Portfolio (PMO) Manager at Tampa General Hospital is responsible for leading multiple complex projects and enterprise programs under the guidance of the Director/Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO). This role involves working closely with end-customers to define project scopes, estimate costs, and maintain project schedules. The Program Manager is accountable for executing project plans, overseeing budgets, and ensuring that executive decision-makers understand the value of projects to the organization’s strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex projects and enterprise programs.
• Work with end-customers to determine project scope.
• Estimate project costs and craft project schedules.
• Escalate issues to senior management as necessary.
• Ensure execution of project plans and budget oversight.
• Develop program management capabilities including prioritization and resource balancing.
• Support projects that comprise the program and manage operational aspects.
• Provide executive decision-makers with a complete understanding of project value.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Ten years of experience in project management, or fifteen years of experience in project and program management.
• Master's degree preferred.
• PMI certification is required.
