About the position
The Pool Leak Detection Specialist at American Leak Detection, Inc. is responsible for performing electronic water leak detections and repairs in residential and commercial properties, including pools and spas. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to learn a specialized skill set in a high-demand field while working outdoors in various conditions. The role includes using state-of-the-art leak detection equipment and requires a strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Perform leak detection on interior and exterior residential and commercial properties, pools, and spas to diagnose concealed leaks and water infiltration damage.
- Communicate clearly with management, colleagues, and customers.
- Work both indoors and outdoors in various settings throughout New Jersey, away from the office.
- Utilize underground line tracking, video, ultrasonic, and infrared technologies.
Requirements
- Ability to swim.
- Knowledge of repair tools and their correct usage.
- Experience or knowledge of pool systems, pumps, skimmers, cleaning, plumbing lines, or pool equipment, or a strong desire to learn.
- Valid driver's license with a relatively clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check showing no criminal activity.
- Capable of performing physical work and lifting up to 100 pounds.
Nice-to-haves
- Plumbing, mechanical, electronics experience, or construction background.
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate various apps.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education is a plus.
