About the position

The Pool Operations Coordinator (POC) at Goldfish Swim School is responsible for overseeing the quality and success of all pool and swim lesson operations. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with operational standards, and delivering excellent swim lesson experiences. The POC acts as a leader and ambassador for the school, promoting a positive environment and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality and success of all pool and swim lesson operations.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Manage Deck Supervisors, Swim Instructors, and all other on-deck staff.
• Deliver excellent swim lesson experiences based on the GSS curriculum and strong communications with students and parents/guardians.
• Facilitate excellent shift flow (huddles, teacher rotation, etc.) and sub when needed.
• Maintain the pool environment and ensure compliance with operational standards (roster management, cleaning checklists, etc).
• Monitor proper class placements and adjust class capacity to optimize efficiencies.
• Develop staff through onboarding and ongoing training, holding them to high standards and improving their performance.
• Act as a GSS ambassador to ensure a WOW customer experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• At least 1 year as a Deck Supervisor or relevant experience.
• 2+ years as a swim instructor preferred.
• Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or teacher preferred.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Ellis Lifeguarding certifications required.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with G-Suite preferred (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, etc).

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to problem solve in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and multiple projects.
