About the position

Goldfish Swim School in Mount Laurel is seeking a Pool Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of swim instruction and ensure quality management of the pool operations. The role involves providing leadership to staff, interacting with parents regarding student progress, and conducting training for new hires. The ideal candidate will have a background in swim instruction and management, along with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, discipline, and constructive feedback to Deck Supervisors, Instructors, and Deck Teachers.
• Interacts with parents/guardians to discuss student progress.
• Acts as a substitute Deck Supervisor, Instructor, or Deck Teacher when necessary.
• Provides weekly reports from various audits, including Deck Supervisor Rosters and Training Logs.
• Works closely with Deck Supervisors and Instructors to improve their skillsets.
• Provides advice and support to the Deck Supervisor on shift.
• Assists staff in working with students of varying skill levels.
• Conducts workshops and in-service training for staff.
• Conducts all aquatic-based new hire training.

Requirements

• Experience in a leadership/management role.
• At least 2-3 years of swim instructor/swim coach experience.
• Ability to work with children.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Must pass background examinations (included with training).
• Experience in a lifeguard role.
• Experience in a POS system.
