The Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional responsible for delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner. This role requires proficiency in various competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, and leadership. The position is part of a pool staffing model, allowing for flexible scheduling and varied shifts, and is integral to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and service in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner.
- Demonstrate proficiency in assessment, technical skills, and communication.
- Utilize evidence-based practice standards to ensure quality and safety.
- Engage in critical thinking and planning for patient care interventions.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Maintain professional accountability and leadership within the team.
Requirements
- Graduate of Registered Nurse program with an active Florida RN license.
- Seven months of RN experience required; BSN preferred.
- Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- RNs with an Associate degree must complete the BSN within 5 years of hire.
- Certification in area of practice preferred.
- Life Support Certificate (BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS) as per department standard.
