About the position

As a key member of Barcel USA's team, the Popcornopolis Marketing Director leads marketing efforts by planning, developing, and executing marketing strategies aligned to a global vision. This role is crucial for driving growth within the Popcornopolis brand and requires a strategic thinker who can effectively collaborate with various teams. The Marketing Director will report directly to the Barcel USA General Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the marketing initiatives that support the overall business objectives. The Marketing Director will define marketing, communication, and new product strategies for the Popcornopolis team, ensuring alignment with both global and US teams. This includes leading the Brand Manager to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and campaigns, while also focusing on the professional growth and development of team members. Financial planning is another key responsibility, where the Director will develop plans and forecasts aimed at driving growth and achieving profit objectives for the company. In addition to campaign management, the Marketing Director will design, plan, and execute effective marketing campaigns that align with the global-regional-local marketing strategy. Measuring campaign effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) will be essential to ensure that marketing efforts are yielding the desired results. The role also involves managing agencies and communication plans, defining new product launches, and monitoring market performance. Collaboration is a significant aspect of this position, as the Marketing Director will work with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with overall business activities. Understanding key performance metrics and utilizing tracking tools for market research, forecasts, competitor analyses, and consumer trends will be critical in translating results into actionable insights. The Director will also partner with the global team to build and maintain strong global brands, ensuring consistent and impactful brand messaging across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Define marketing, communication, and new product strategies for Popcornopolis team, aligning with the global and US teams
  • Lead the Brand Manager to develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns with markets, ensuring his/her professional growth and development
  • Lead financial planning to develop plans and forecasts that drive growth and achieve profit objectives for the company
  • Design, plan, and execute effective marketing campaigns in line with the global-regional-local marketing strategy and measure campaign effectiveness and ROI
  • Manage agencies and campaigns for communication plans
  • Define new product launches, then partner with teams to execute
  • Monitor performance in market
  • Manage efforts of cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with overall business activities
  • Understand key performance metrics and tracking tools for market research, forecasts, competitor analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends, and translate results into actionable insights
  • Partner with global team to build global brands, then ensure consistent, relevant, and powerful execution of brand messaging
  • Partner with cross-functional team to ensure profitable growth

Requirements

  • Strong progressive Marketing background with 8+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field
  • A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted
  • Consumer Packaged Goods or Food Industry experience strongly preferred
  • Global experience desired
  • Strong people leadership and interpersonal skills to directly manage team members and influence others
  • Positive, proactive, 'can do' attitude to make an impact
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with a drive towards execution and delivering results
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams as well as executives
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lead across a large global organization
  • Experience driving business objectives, on time, within budget
  • Computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and be proficient at other analytical tools and data sources
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30-40% of the time
