The New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) is seeking a dedicated individual to assist in various administrative functions within its academic programs. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining program records, which includes managing student enrollment, grades, and other pertinent data. The successful candidate will help organize program-related events, workshops, and seminars, providing essential support for curricular programs. This role requires effective management of communication channels, including responding to emails and phone inquiries from students, faculty, and external parties. The candidate will also provide information and support to students regarding program requirements, schedules, and available resources, ensuring a smooth experience for all involved. In addition to these responsibilities, the individual will assist with student orientations and other events aimed at enhancing student engagement. They will help students navigate administrative processes, such as registration and financial aid applications, and assist in scheduling examinations and meetings. Coordination of room bookings and equipment for classes and events is also a key part of this role. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date student and program-related databases, generating reports on student enrollment, attendance, and academic performance, and processing applications to ensure all required documents are received and filed appropriately. Furthermore, the individual will provide support during the admissions process, which includes scheduling interviews and sending out approved acceptance letters. Managing supplies and placing orders as necessary, assisting in photocopying, scanning, and organizing program-related documents, and helping maintain a clean and organized office space are also part of the job. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and engaging position within the NYIT community.
