About the position

The Port Truck Sales Team Manager will lead sales efforts for Orange EV trucks targeted at port customers. This role involves developing sales strategies, nurturing customer relationships, and leveraging existing connections to drive sales growth. The manager will also engage in technical discussions, assist customers with funding opportunities, and participate in trade shows to promote the product.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage existing relationships and build new ones with port operators across the country.
  • Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to increase market penetration.
  • Create and manage the sales funnel for accounts to achieve and exceed truck sales goals.
  • Convey data, insights, TCO calculations, and guidance to help prospects transition to electric vehicles.
  • Demonstrate strong technical competence to explain truck details and charging solutions.
  • Identify and leverage external funding sources for customer purchases.
  • Travel as needed for in-person customer visits, site assessments, demos, and training.
  • Nurture existing customer relationships to ensure needs are met and accelerate future orders.
  • Track all relevant customer engagements in CRM for follow-up and visibility.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in sales materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with teammates and cross-functionally to enhance customer experience.
  • Partner with other Regional Sales Managers as needed.

Requirements

  • Existing relationships with port vehicle purchasing executives.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and be on-site with customers.
  • Proven technical ability to understand and communicate component functionality.
  • Commercial Vehicle / Equipment experience.
  • Success engaging at multiple levels in a prospect's organization for complex sales.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) for relationship and sales funnel management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), especially Excel for financial modeling.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • A can-do attitude and ability to structure win-win deals.
  • Passion, drive, self-motivation, and competitive fire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling Class 8 trucks or truck-related components into port, logistics, intermodal, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience navigating and using government purchase incentives in sales efforts.
  • Experience selling or working with electric vehicles.
  • Experience selling solutions based on total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Demonstrated strength in bringing better approaches to accomplish goals.
