About the position

The position involves pressure washing and sweeping out shipping containers and equipment, treating rusted areas, and disinfecting the insides of containers as needed. The role also includes cleaning and maintaining the shop, washout, and reefer pre-trip inspection (PTI) areas, including trash removal as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Pressure washes shipping containers and equipment as required using machinery provided.
• Checks equipment, ensuring an adequate water supply and that all is working properly.
• Inspects surfaces after washing to ensure they are clear of any food, dirt, and debris.
• Follows all safety protocols to prevent damage or injury.
• Treats rusted areas on equipment and applies aluminum cleaner.
• Cleans and washes equipment daily.
• Cleans all PTI wash areas once a week.
• Cleans and maintains the shop and surrounding areas.
• Performs all other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months experience in cleaning and painting.
• Pressure washing experience preferred.
• Valid local driver's license.
• Certified to operate fork-lift preferred or the ability to obtain fork-lift operator certification.
