About the position

As a Porter at Belaire Backyard Clique Durango Pool, LLC, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the venue, ensuring a polished and professional image. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in creating an inviting environment for guests and staff, while also supporting the bar operations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, stock, and maintain inventory of all necessary items for bar operation.
  • Provide full prep support to Bartender and Barbacks.
  • Clean all equipment, tools, and supplies, maintaining them in good working order.
  • Greet guests positively and make them feel welcome.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and respond with urgency.
  • Bid farewell to guests, using their names when known, and encourage return visits.
  • Maintain professionalism to enhance guest experience.
  • Follow Food & Beverage sequence of service as per venue standards.
  • Adhere to weekly table and guest list requirements.
  • Assist in developing restaurant database through networking.
  • Build and establish personal clientele.
  • Participate in weekly marketing requirements.
  • Work as a team to assist guests and employees.
  • Communicate effectively with management and staff to address guest needs.
  • Responsible for end of shift clean-up as outlined by management.
  • Follow all company and health department procedures and policies.
  • Conform to grooming standards and uniform policies.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and respect towards team members.

Requirements

  • 2 years experience as a bar porter and/or busser in a high-volume restaurant environment or 6 months in a fine dining establishment.
  • Experience with social media platforms and active participation in social media.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a high-stress, high-volume environment.
  • Knowledge of fine dining service standards and ability to execute them.
  • Working knowledge of spirits, wine, and food.
  • Physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to walk on various surfaces for extended periods.
  • Good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Oral and written English language skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age to serve food and beverages in Nevada.
  • Possess an alcohol awareness card and a Food Handler Safety Training Card.
  • Possess a Nevada gaming card.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments.
