The Porter/Handyman position at BGSF involves maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of property grounds and common areas in a multifamily residential setting. This part-time, temporary role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in property management while working flexible hours on weekends.
Responsibilities
- Pick up trash/debris and maintain a clean facility/grounds
- Change bulbs in common areas and exterior light fixtures
- Move large items such as appliances and furniture
- Perform exterior and interior touch-up building maintenance in common areas including stairwells and hallways
- Deliver office correspondence to residents' doors
- Assist with additional responsibilities/projects assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager
- Physically manage tasks such as painting, pressure washing, and leaf blowing of breezeways and parking lots
Requirements
- Dependable transportation to and from work
- Strong work ethic with reliability and dependability
- Ability and desire to assist with community projects
- Enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed
- Ability to lift 40-50 lbs
- Customer service oriented approach to co-workers and customers
