About the position

The Porter position at Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen involves performing various maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure the facility is safe, clean, and well-maintained. This part-time role requires attention to detail and the ability to respond to maintenance requests promptly, contributing to the overall upkeep of the restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders as requested, including changing light bulbs, AC filters, painting, plumbing, light carpentry, fixing sheet rock, and other general maintenance duties.
• Maintain the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
• Conduct daily inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment.
• Keep property and landscaping clean by inspecting the property each morning and picking up any trash or debris.
• Clean all common room areas including the kitchen, cafeteria, lobby, and break room.
• Monitor, clean, and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
• Identify any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions, or maintenance needs in the property and correct them.
• Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use.
• Place safety hazard signs in the building when applicable, including wet paint and wet floor warning signs.
• Maintain snow removal, cleaning, and maintenance of grounds, including common areas as requested by the supervisor.
• Perform on-call and after-hours emergency services as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• At least three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
