About the position
As a Porter at Dbox, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for patrons in commercial or institutional buildings. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining public areas, ensuring safety, and performing various maintenance tasks to uphold the facility's high standards.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain sidewalks, medians, walkways, and parking lots.
- Remove trash, including cigarette butts, from all designated areas.
- Sweep driveways, alleys, and parking lots, and pick up loose trash from landscaped areas.
- Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and clean receptacle lids daily.
- Transport and dispose of waste in dumpsters.
- Push grocery carts to designated locations and remove unauthorized signs or stickers from windows and landscaping.
- Report any security or emergency situations, including break-ins or damaged property, to supervisors and security officers.
- Perform additional cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of basic safety practices.
- Ability to use a smartphone for Service Fusion, email, dispatch, and property reports.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
