About the position
MMC Consulting is seeking an experienced Acquisition Management professional to support the protection of the nation's borders. This role involves collaborating with Portfolio Assistant Program Managers to enhance program financial management, budget development, and acquisition support. The position focuses on life cycle management of deployed systems, ensuring optimal performance, and providing expert advice throughout the acquisition process.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Portfolio Assistant Program Managers for Business (APMBs) to support Acquisition Management and Program Financial Management.
- Provide life cycle management and sustainment of PMOD-deployed systems, including monitoring and tracking system performance.
- Identify, report, and assist with the resolution of operating and support deficiencies.
- Develop strategies to optimize system performance and prepare for system engineering changes.
- Provide input for operations and maintenance budget formulation and reporting for assigned systems and programs.
- Prepare for and participate in technical interchange meetings and system CCBs.
- Provide acquisition support and expert advice in the preparation and review of acquisition documents for the PMOD.
- Facilitate the cradle-to-grave system acquisition process within the PMOD.
- Support the PMOD during the acquisition life cycle with integration planning and source selection tools.
- Develop and update documentation to support acquisition strategy, planning, and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of DHS MD 102 and experience with complex system acquisitions
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with the Department of Homeland Security / Customs and Border Protection
