About the position
The position involves establishing and managing a team focused on supporting the business lines' buy, sell, or hold strategies. The role emphasizes making informed decisions based on comprehensive internal and external data, developing credit insurance growth strategies, and ensuring effective communication across consumer business lines.
Responsibilities
- Identify portfolio optimization strategies in collaboration with internal/external marketing groups and Fifth Third Capital Markets.
- Utilize and develop sophisticated modeling to forecast and identify potential high-risk pools within the consumer portfolio.
- Make senior-level buy, sell, hold recommendations based on analysis of portfolio performance.
- Analyze through-the-door originations for performance and make guideline changes to improve secondary marketing quality.
- Review complex scorecard guideline challenges to ensure alignment with corporate risk initiatives and business unit growth strategies.
- Provide corporate executive level portfolio reporting and forecasting for accurate business planning.
- Lead new initiatives to support future business line growth strategies.
- Develop and maintain credit protection insurance programs to support loan production growth with limited risk.
- Manage various strategic projects as directed by the Chief Consumer Credit Risk Officer.
