About the position

As a Portfolio Analytics and Strategy Specialist at PNC, you will play a crucial role in the Technology organization, focusing on analytics related to fraud incidents within the Digital payments domain. Your responsibilities will include identifying fraud patterns, proposing countermeasures, and assessing their effectiveness. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance fraud prevention strategies and ensure the security of digital transactions. This position requires a strong analytical background and the ability to work with large datasets in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with analytics related to fraud incidents in the Digital payments domain.
  • Identify and understand fraud patterns and propose countermeasures.
  • Assess the effectiveness of proposed rules and their impact on fraud prevention.
  • Present findings to leadership and assess implementation effectiveness post-production.
  • Collaborate with partners in the Enterprise Fraud Organization and other stakeholders.
  • Run complex business performance, risk, and operational analytics.
  • Develop analytical methods/models to assess market, credit, and operational risk.
  • Synthesize analytical results to recommend and implement business strategies.
  • Establish baselines for strategies and track performance against expectations.
  • Design and enhance standard reporting suites for product/portfolio reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience in financial analysis and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, and R, specifically for Hadoop, Oracle, and Teradata.
  • Experience with large datasets and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Prior knowledge of fraud prevention and detection is strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Neo4j and Elastic technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting and compliance in financial services.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
