About the position

The Portfolio Community Manager is responsible for overseeing property management services for various communities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, managing vendor services, and enhancing the financial performance of the properties. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, time management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety and appearance standards.
• Manage and oversee vendor services for communities, including landscaping and maintenance.
• Oversee maintenance work on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems as required.
• Develop short and long-term capital plans to achieve community goals.
• Understand and manage major repairs and capital projects, including obtaining bids and financing.
• Track and report on the financial performance of the communities and implement enhancement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws related to property management.
• Attend Community Board and Owners' Meetings as a liaison and community partner.
• Enforce community rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Proven industry experience in managing a community or portfolio management.
• Thorough understanding of building and property maintenance.
• General understanding of budgeting and ability to interpret financial statements.
• Understanding of capital projects and project management.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Computer competence and proficiency in relevant software.
• Experience running Board and Owners' Meetings.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in property management for 5 years or more.
