About the position

The Portfolio Development Executive III is responsible for driving new business attainment for Siemens' Teamcenter/Design suite of solutions within the Industrial Machinery market segment. This role involves coordinating with various internal resources to develop sales strategies and execute customer engagements, emphasizing the demonstration of business value through a Digital Twin/Digital Thread approach. The successful candidate will leverage their industry knowledge and experience in software sales to foster market growth and pipeline development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business plans that sub-segment the market, identify business trends, define initiatives, and identify specific accounts to target in developing pipeline and business.
  • Use SFDC and other tools to understand the overall business picture of the assigned industry and adjust the business plan as necessary during the fiscal year.
  • Work with the broader sales team to assist in developing account plans to drive business in specific accounts in conjunction with the overall business plan.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute on a variety of tactics including social media, webinars, seminars, user group meetings, customer workshops, email campaigns, etc. to drive customer meetings and develop new business sales opportunities.
  • Work with a variety of resources including technical specialists to conduct customer meetings and progress opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Understand, leverage, and share experiences and strategies in using the Digital Thread approach to drive team success across the Siemens DI SW enterprise.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years current experience in software sales, software business development, software technical pre-sales, or strong industry experience with a strong, proven grasp of technology/solutions.
  • Experience with Teamcenter (or other PLM software) and Design software, with a preference for industry experience in the Industrial Machinery market.
  • Bachelor's degree or at least 8+ years of experience in software sales or technical presales.
  • Strong quota attainment and familiarity with desktop solutions such as Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint, and other job-related software packages.
  • Excellent public speaking skills complemented by exceptional written and oral skills as well as strong organizational abilities.
  • Proven ability to independently formulate, understand, and articulate customer needs and solution strategies.
