About the position

At Medtronic, you can begin a life-long career of exploration and innovation, while helping champion healthcare access and equity for all. You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. As a Portfolio Manager, you will promote the Advanced Surgical Instrumentation (ASI) product portfolio to drive and protect revenue at mid/large IDN/GPO's in specific markets across the U.S. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging the C-suite, hospital executive(s), and leaders within the Supply Chain for pan-ASI contractual conversations. You will own primary hospital executive relationships within aligned accounts, gain a deeper understanding of their challenges, and apply ASI solutions. Collaboration with the sales team within the region will be essential to ensure execution and optimization of any agreement. In this role, you will grow and maintain partnerships within assigned accounts to understand, align, and support customer initiatives, identify optimal ASI solutions, and gain alignment and agreement from executive levels within the IDN/GPO or account. You will coordinate and collaborate with the regionally aligned field sales team to protect and drive incremental ASI revenue in categories that represent the greatest amount of competitive share. Acting as the contractual owner for all cross-ASI portfolio sales opportunities within your assigned region, you will partner with internal contracting, pricing, and finance teams and utilize available analytics tools to understand contractual performance and drive agreement compliance. You will also collaborate with US Marketing and Offer Development on creative contracting solutions to bring new value in changing markets, educate supply chain/C-Suite on Medtronic value-added services brought forth by Therapy Specialists and the local sales team to help drive contractual optimization, and inform sales leaders and local area team members of new account opportunities. Scheduling and executing quarterly business reviews within the target market will be part of your responsibilities, as well as partnering with operating unit Strategic Accounts resources to ensure the regional delivery of the most recent and aggressive contracting levers available to the business. Your ultimate goal will be to assist local sales leaders in driving optimal contract optimization with the aim of achieving high share across ASI within targeted IDN/GPO's and accounts.
