As the Tactical Communications (TCOM) Portfolio Manager at ADS, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of sales representatives dedicated to providing product and procurement guidance to ensure that the warfighter receives the necessary equipment to complete their mission. This position is integral to our leadership team, focusing on innovative and cost-effective solutions to our customers' equipment and logistical challenges. You will oversee all TCOM-related business within the company, managing a team of Business Development personnel responsible for programmatic sales and a team of Category Managers who support our partner suppliers. Your responsibilities will include coaching and developing sales representatives, engaging in deal strategy and negotiations, hiring top talent, and ensuring exceptional customer service for all our partner suppliers and TCOM customers. The TCOM Portfolio Manager will be involved in various core business functions, including Category Management, Supplier Management, Business Development, Contract Development & Capture, Unit Level Sales Support, and the development and management of portfolio team members. Your success will be measured by customer and supplier satisfaction, achieving annual territory and team goals, team engagement, and overall sales growth. This role requires extensive travel, approximately 75% of the time, which translates to 2-3 weeks of travel each month, along with occasional work on weekends, holidays, and after business hours.
