Our client, a prestigious investment firm based in Louisville, KY, is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager. This role involves managing portfolios for high-net-worth clients of some of the largest U.S. wealth management firms. While the preference is for relocation to Louisville, KY, for the right candidate, a hybrid/remote situation with occasional travel to the office will be considered. Relocation assistance is provided for those residing outside the area.

Responsibilities

  • Manage covered call options on concentrated equity positions across multiple client portfolios.
  • Engage with sophisticated financial advisors and their HNW/UHNW clients to discuss the firm's call writing strategies.
  • Provide backup for fellow portfolio managers handling the firm's other call writing strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to the firm's rules-based criteria for option selection.
  • Prepare and present reports for periodic portfolio reviews.
  • Monitor economic and market trends to discuss with financial advisors and their clients.

Requirements

  • BA/BS (Finance or Accounting preferred).
  • CFA certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of portfolio management experience.
  • Options trading experience is required.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, R, Python, and SQL. Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills; a background in statistics, econometrics, or other technical disciplines is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate high self-motivation, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to explain complex investment concepts and processes clearly.
