About the position

The Portfolio Manager at Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing is responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing mortgage servicing operations. This role involves implementing strategies, facilitating transactions, and ensuring overall profitability for the organization. The Portfolio Manager will utilize strong communication, project management, and analytical skills to effectively serve a dedicated group of third-party mortgage clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key point of contact for a dedicated group of 3rd party mortgage clients.
  • Create, design, and implement value-add business strategies and client campaigns.
  • Accountable for key operational risk-management metrics and resolving operational issues.
  • Manage the delegated authority request process for clients.
  • Oversee and track incoming transfers and complete required GSE forms.
  • Manage repurchases and partner with prior seller/servicers.
  • Perform monthly oversight and reconciliation of GSE invoice management.
  • Demonstrate root cause analytical skills in error resolution and procedural improvements.
  • Manage individual client P&Ls and negotiate fee schedules.
  • Assist the Portfolio Management Team with new third-party clients.
  • Partner with Legal to review new Servicing Agreements for operational risks.
  • Improve operational efficiency by reviewing Servicing Agreements content.
  • Accountable for key portfolio processes and resolving key issues.
  • Articulate and present ideas and findings to various audiences.
  • Organize and lead onsite visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business discipline.
  • 3+ years equivalent work experience in Mortgage Servicing, preferably in a client-facing function.
  • Strong knowledge of GSE guidelines and regulations is a plus.
  • Basic accounting knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong business communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel (graphs, pivot tables, formulas).
  • Fast learner able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience with SQL is a plus.
  • Experience performing business, data, and/or statistical analysis is a plus.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Visio is a plus.
