The Portfolio Manager of Supplier Excellence plays a crucial role in delivering mutually beneficial outcomes for RNDC, our customers, and our supplier partners. This position is responsible for driving the execution of the supplier's commercial strategy, programming, and P&L, with a focus on growing both supplier and RNDC revenue and profitability. The Portfolio Manager will ensure compliance with supplier agreements through regular audits and market activity analysis, while also owning the full Supplier P&L. This includes maximizing top-line revenue by developing strategies to grow the business with a portfolio of suppliers, maintaining bottom-line profitability, and optimizing the mix of SKUs and brand lineups for the designated geography. In this role, the Portfolio Manager will translate and enable supplier strategies across all RNDC functions, consulting with supply chain teams, purchasing, demand planners, and centralized buying teams to optimize inventory levels and deliver accurate forecasting models. The position also involves owning supplier-based commercial plans, new item setups, and launches, setting targets and goals for suppliers, and providing guidance for the commercial planning process. Collaboration with supplier and state sales leadership is essential for program development, delivery, and execution. The Portfolio Manager will develop and lead supplier programs, goals, KPIs, and other key initiatives, while facilitating seamless communication across RNDC's network of teams, including state sales leadership, national accounts, supply chain, and sales finance. Additionally, the Portfolio Manager will review and analyze brands for sales and profit opportunities, identifying high-growth potential suppliers and brands while phasing out underperforming ones. Staying informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices is vital, as is attending key industry conferences to represent RNDC and build strategic relationships with current and new suppliers. The role also includes leading special projects and supplier initiatives that drive mutually beneficial outcomes for RNDC, the supplier portfolio, and all internal channels.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Five or more years of related experience with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
