About the position

The Portfolio Manager at MidWestOne Bank is responsible for managing relationships to assist assigned Bankers in achieving efficiencies, quality processes, and the retention and expansion of banking relationships. This role involves evaluating creditworthiness, providing administrative and credit analysis support, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations. The position requires collaboration with various departments to support the assigned Bankers in their efforts to grow the bank's commercial and agricultural banking relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing relationships to assist assigned Bankers in achieving banking goals.
• Collect, examine, and evaluate information regarding credit requests from customers.
• Conduct financial data analysis to determine creditworthiness.
• Perform ongoing credit monitoring and complete annual credit reviews.
• Prepare comprehensive written analyses and industry summaries.
• Coordinate collateral inspections and appraisals for loan maturities and credit reviews.
• Request and review loan packages for accuracy and completeness prior to closing.
• Promote the bank's products and services to enhance banking relationships.
• Participate in presentations of credit requests to loan committees as directed.
• Engage in community and business functions to promote the bank's brand.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-3 years of related experience in financial analysis or banking.
• Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
• Thorough understanding of finance and accounting principles.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in commercial or agricultural banking.
• Knowledge of credit analysis and risk assessment.
