About the position

The Portfolio Officer at Citizens Business Bank plays a crucial role in supporting Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and Center Managers in acquiring new clients and maintaining existing relationships. This position involves analyzing customer financial needs, negotiating with prospects, and presenting credit and product requests internally. The Portfolio Officer is integral to the sales process and contributes to achieving the Center's financial goals while ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provides sales and operational support to the sales teams in the Centers.
  • Participates in all Center functions necessary to contribute to the achievement of Center earnings and growth objectives.
  • Contributes significantly to meeting or exceeding the Center budgetary goals.
  • Ensures that deposit, loan, and net income goals are met.
  • Works with or through the Manager to ensure compliance with bank operating and lending policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all CBB policies and procedures to achieve a passing audit.
  • Works to meet the Bank's CRA policies and objectives for the assigned service area.
  • Manages personal sales efforts to meet or exceed Center goals with specific production goals.
  • Promotes The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
  • Stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
