About the position

The Portfolio Operations Specialist at NatureVest will manage the internal governance approval process and support operational, financial, and legal governance for impact investment projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that NatureVest's impact investments align with TNC's mission and governance standards, facilitating the development of financial markets that integrate natural capital. The position involves collaboration with various teams and requires strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the internal governance approval process for impact investment projects.
  • Support the NatureVest Portfolio Program Manager with operational, financial, and conservation reporting.
  • Serve as corporate secretary for NatureVest-managed related entities, preparing and maintaining meeting minutes and resolutions.
  • Ensure legal governance for NatureVest-managed entities and maintain good standing with state registrations.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and ongoing reporting for third-party investors.
  • Monitor and report on conservation, financial, and risk outcomes for impact investment projects.
  • Produce presentation materials for TNC leadership regarding trends and recommendations.
  • Develop consolidated conservation measurement documentation and track outcomes for impact investment projects.
  • Create and refine documentation regarding governance, reporting, and operational workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with TNC policies and external requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience generating reports and analyzing data.
  • Experience managing and implementing multiple projects.
  • Experience with business process analysis and/or improvement.
  • Experience with current technology in relevant field.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple complex tasks.
